This view north-east from the Centrum Department Stores shows part of Śródmiejski Mall (currently Stefana “Wiecha” Wiecheckiego Mall). In the foreground on the left, a display advertising the store merchandise. In the background, the Warsaw Architecture Salon or the annual outdoor exhibition organized by the Warsaw Branch of the Association of Polish Architects. Top of the frame shows part of a Moda Polska [Polish Fashion] sign advertising a nearby store.
Designed by a group of architects under Zbigniew Karpiński, the Mall was built between 1963 and 1969. Dariusz Hyc and Henryk Łaguna designed the 2006 restoration.
