City center, the Palace of Culture and Science, the PKO Rotunda and Universal office building

This view shows the city center with the Universal office building on the right, the PKO Rotunda and the Palace of Culture and Science on the left. Built in 1965, Universal building at 44 Jerozolimskie Avenue was part of the East Wall complex on Marszałkowska Street. It was demolished in 2016. 
Designed by Jerzy Jakubowicz, with Stanisław Więcek and Włodzimierz Wojnowski both responsible for its steel structure, the PKO Rotunda at 100-102 Marszałkowska Street was built in 1966. It was damaged by a 1979 gas explosion and reconstructed in the same year. In 2017, it was demolished to be rebuilt in a similar shape in 2019.
