This view of the Central Committee of the Polish United Workers’ Party shows the west wing from the Nowy Świat Street side. Designed by Wacław Kłyszewski, Jerzy Mokrzyński, and Eugeniusz Wierzbicki, the modernist building was constructed between 1948 and 1952 at the crossroads of Jerozolimskie Avenue and Nowy Świat Street.
