1970s or 1980s

This view shows part of the Frederic Chopin Monument by Wacław Szymanowski in Royal Baths Park. Oskar Sosnowski designed the surroundings, the plinth, and the pool. Unveiled on November 14th, 1926, it was blown up on May 31st, 1940 by Germans, who then cut up and scrapped the remnants of the Monument. They also tried to destroy every copy.
